Thanksgiving Artist Trading Cards

 What makes Thanksgiving is gratitude. So when making cards for one another to celebrate Thanksgiving we should  paint them with our hearts. The traditional Thanksgiving family gathering to celebrate harvest and all the abundance summer has given us is most special amongst family with guests. So one may think of making Thanksgiving place Settings or a table runner or perhaps Decorative centrepiece made with natural autumn Color’s to make each person feel welcome. I chose to draw a turkey this year 2022 to honour the timeless American tradition of serving turkey at Thanksgiving dinner. My place settings were each set with a little “artist trading card” which is  hand drawn and hand colored in hopes of personalizing our dinner table for our celebration! Each card has a name of the guest who blesses our table ; placed where they’re to sit for the meal. Everyone looks for their name on the place setting and feel special when they know their name has been thought of before hand. My mother did this many times for Thanksgiving and Christmas table so they weeks and it always made us feel special. Sometimes she would buy little China placeholders to set the names upon and I kept mine from Christmases long ago. It’s just a little tradition in our family.
